Mission

Urpi Collective fosters creativity and cultural diversity by building cross-cultural solidarity with and for immigrant and diaspora communities through art, education, and civic participation.

Human rights, social justice, and gender equity are at the center of our work. We create spaces where people can belong, be heard, and participate fully in cultural and civic life—regardless of language, nationality, or migration history.

We work alongside those facing economic and systemic barriers. Through exhibitions, workshops, talks, creative writing labs, and multimedia projects, we connect everyday experiences with broader histories of memory, migration, care, and resistance.

We are committed to supporting collective efforts that advance dignity and justice.

Vision

We envision communities in which education, art, and culture are recognized as essential to belonging, justice, and collective well-being.

Our vision is of a world where historically marginalized communities have the resources and platforms to preserve their histories, shape cultural narratives, sustain creative livelihoods, and build solidarity across borders.

Through collaboration among communities in California, throughout the United States, and across Latin America, we seek to contribute to a cultural landscape in which diverse voices are valued and creativity becomes a bridge between people, places, and generations.
